This year marks as the 11th year of YCLA, the Young Caymanian Leadership Award. This annual event is attended by Cayman's top business and community leaders ... all eager to witness the announcement of this highly-coveted award.
This year's YCLA tagline was Dare to Be. In keeping with the tagline, we knew we had to come up with something bold, fun and uniquely memorable. We searched for inspiration...something, someone or somewhere, anything...that would fully embody the brave and bold tagline.
Then inspiration hit! Andy Warhol! Popular for his pop art and for painting something as trivial as a can of tomato and making it into a piece of art, Andy Warhol is the epitome of daring!
We took a "Andy Warholesque" approach to the entire look and feel of the event.
Starting with the photos of the five finalists were taken by the very talented David Wolfe which was then transformed into modern pieces of art by John, a graphic artist. These portraits came in several variations and were used from the programmes to the stage back drop.
...the stage backdrop showing oversized collages of the nominees portraits whileYCLA event organizer, Melissa Wolfe, spoke to all the attendees.
...to the fun and creatively designed floral centerpieces
...even the entryway was not left untouched! Here's local publishers, David & Vicky Legge, with YCLA long-time sponsor Andreas Ugland walking down the fully draped and LED-lit entrance.
And here's Collin Anglin giving his acceptance speech after being awarded the winner of YCLA 2010 . Congratulations Collin for a well deserved award.
... and the party that ensued after the Awards ceremony in full swing! DJ Craig of One World Productions had everyone jumping to some groovy beat!
What a huge success it was.
Thank you so much to the YCLA organizers for entrusting us in creating this once a year one-of-a-kind event!!!!

Who did the decor at the event? The flowers, chairs, lounge furniture?
Hi! the decor concept, event production, centerpieces, furnitures, chairs and lounge furnitures were by us, Celebrations Ltd. :-)
Very beautiful. I like the all white chiavari chairs, the mix of loungers and regular chairs, the white table covers. Love it all!
